A book cover for The Great Gatsby
This was a class project that we had to design a cover book for one of the novels that was given by the instructor.
Since I love the 20s Art Deco vibe, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald was a natural choice for me.

Brainstorming
I started listing words that associated with the words Great and Gatsby to get some ideas of the elements I wanted to use in my sketches.
Sketches
Instead of choosing only one sketch to implement for my final design, I was curious to see how four of these sketches will turn out. Therefore, I chose to work on all four.
Typography
The boldest 20s design theme is Art Deco, which has been depicted by the author throughout the story. This was an obvious choice for me to find some typefaces that had such characteristic.
